En 1979 adquirimos un macho procedente del criadero Stromalong siendo unos de los reproductores Top de la época alcanzando el título de ROM.Alcanzó también la fama su hijo CH. KEDIANS CADBURY...Cadbury fue numero uno en el ranking siendo Top Terranova dos años consecutivos y el número 10 en la disciplina de trabajo el primer año. En el momento de Cadbury estaba el mayor ganador de todos los tiempos de la raza y como los records están para batirlos el suyo fue otro magnífico record. Cadbury fue realmente un perro muy especial que nos permitió a Ken y a mí conocer gente maravillosa por todo el mundo...mucho de ellos son estupendos amigos hoy en día...

Disfrutamos también de la emoción de tener otros dos perros número uno en USA...MULTI BI/BISS CH. POUCH COVE´S CALL OF THE WILD (London) cuya hija Kendian In Your eyes criada por Ken y yo y propiedad de Manuela Zyrlinger del criadero For Shadow Eternity fue una de las hembras ganadores Top en Europa. También AM.DAN.MULTI BISS CH. POUCH COVE GOODFELLOW (Andrew) dejó nuestra casa por un breve tiempo de 6 meses y fue reproductor Top durante dos años en Dinamarca en el criadero Cannon Bear´s y fue terrranova número dos cuando regesó a América., además su hija BIS/BISS VN.CH RESPONSE AKA COOKIE (Athena) fue hembra Top en USA y fue mejor hembra y mejor de sexo opuesto(BOS) en la nacional especial 2004 y consiguió la raza (BOB) en el Eukanuba de ese mismo año de lo cual estamos muy orgullosos. Estamos verdaderamente agradecidos de haber tenido tantos maravillosos newfies...no todos para el show o perros de trabajo y obediencia pero todos son el amor de nuestras vidas.

Hemos tenido machos en su mayoría hasta que llegó Lexus (Kendian´s Huracan Lexus), de Andrew y Pouch Cove´s Philosophy, Lexus tuvo dos camadas de las que obtuvimos cuatro ejemplares.

Doce ejemplares de mi propiedad han terminado sus campeonatos lo cual siempre es un desafío. He tenido la maravillosa oportunidad de juzgar Sweesptakes en seis especiales regionales del terranova en USA y en 1998 los Sweesptakes de la especial Nacional de California, también he juzgado el Top 20 (mejor perro de los 20 mejores terranovas del año en USA) en la especial nacional del 2005 en Monterrey.

Como juez soy poseedora del a licencia del American Kennel Club (AKC).He tenido el honor de juzgar la prestigiosa GOLD CUP en Italia en el 2002, en septiembre del 2004 juzgué la especial del terranova en Syrgenstein en Alemania, tuve también el honor de juzgar la especial del terranova en Morokulion en Noruega y en Suiza en mayo del 2005. En mayo del 2006 juzgé la especial nacional del terranova en Australia y Nueva Zelanda y más recientemente en la exposición nacional de Dulmen en septiembre del 2008 encontrando siempre a nuevos y fantásticos amigos y terranovas.

He sido miembro del Newfoundland Club Northern California desde 1977 y del Newfounland Club Of America desde 1979...trabajando en numerosos comités de ambos clubes...He presidido y co-presidido 6 Regionales Especiales y he estado en el comité nacional en Monterrey en 2005, California...actualmente soy la responsable de relaciones exteriores de Club Americano del Terranova.

In 1979 we took pick male from Stromalong Kennels…"Brigus" was one of the top producers in that era …also becoming a ROM. His true claim to fame was his son..CH. KENDIANS CADBURY..Cadbury was the number one Newfoundland in USA for 2 years…and the number 10 working dog that first year. At that time in Cadbury was the all time winning Bronze (Brown) in the history of the breed…Records are made to be broken and his was by another magnificient brown. Cadbury was truly a very special dog who enabled Ken and I to meet so many wonderful people. So many have remained our good friends today….

We also enjoyed the thrill of owning 2 other number one and 2 dogs in the USA. MULTI BIS/BISS CH. POUCH COVE'S CALL OF THE WILD (London)…(.His daughter "Kendi"..Kendian In Your Eyes…(bred by Ken and I..and owned by Manuela Zyrlinger of For Shadow Eternity Kennels)…was one of the top winning bitches in Europe.) Also AM.DAN. MULTI BISS CH. POUCH COVE'S GOODFELLOW (Andrew) left our home to live in Denmark at Cannonbear Kennels for 6 months…He was the number one Stud Dog in Denmark for 2 years…Came home to the USA and was the number 2 dog in the USA….Andrew's daughter BIS/BISS VN.CH. RESPONSE AKA COOKIE (Athena) was the number one bitch in the USA ..and went BOS at the 2004 National Specialty…and Breed at the Eukanuba that year…Of this we are ever so proud. We are truly blessed to have had so many wonderful newfies….not all great show or obedience dogs…but the love of our lives.

We have had mostly males until we took Lexus (Kendians Hurricane Lexus)..out of Andrew and Ch Pouch Cove's Philosophy. Lexus had produce 2 beautiful litters…we kept 4 of her get.

I have finished 12 of my own dogs to their Championship…always a challenge. I have had the wonderful opportunity to judge 6 Regional Specialty Sweepstakes and the 1998 National Specialty Sweepstakes in California…I also judged the Top 20 for the 2005 National Specialty in Monterey.

I am now a licensed AKC judge.. I have judged the 2002 Gold Cup in Italy…In September of 2004, I judged the Newfie Specialty show in Syrgenstein, Germany. I was honored to have judged the MOROKULION Newfy Specialty show in Norway and Sweden in May of 2005. In May of 2006 I also judged the Newfoundland Specialty in Australia and New Zealand…and most recently judged the German National Show in Dulmen in September 2008. Always meeting new friends a beautiful newfoundlands.

I have been a member of Northern California Newfoundland Club since 1977 and the Newfoundland Club of America since 1979… serving on numerous committees for both clubs..I have also chaired / co-chaired 6 Regional Specialties and was on the 2005 National Committee held in Monterey, California…I am currently the Foreign Liason for Newfoundland Club Of America.
